At age 77, Marlou Newkirk fell in love with writing. She took a class, joined a writers’ group and then another and another. At 82, she finally fulfilled her dream: she became a published writer. Since then, she has gone on to become an award-winning author of both short stories and magazine articles.
At 86, she was proud to release her first book of poetry. Before becoming a writer, Marlou earned a doctorate in Education from Columbia University and spent many years at the forefront of adult education in New York City.
Now at 87, she is thrilled to be going to events to present her poetry and share the message...it's never too late!
